Auction rehearsal

Face the comment section before it is real

Most sellers meet their auction's comment section for the first time on the day it opens, with money on the line and no way to take an answer back. This is the rehearsal: the same questions, the same pressure, none of the consequences.

An auction is won or lost in the comments

Bidders decide what your car is worth partly from the photos and mostly from how you answer them. A vague reply about service history, a defensive one about a repaint, or a question left to die over a weekend all cost real money, and none of them feel like mistakes while you are making them.

In our own data, sellers whose cars sold wrote roughly 39% of their own comment thread. Sellers whose cars did not sell wrote less. Carrying the thread is learnable, but not on the day.

The questions are aimed at your car specifically. We read the description you write, find what a bidder would push on (an undocumented gap, a repaint, a colour change, a thin gallery) and weight it by how often that topic really comes up for cars like yours.

How it works

  1. 1Start from your VINWe decode it and show you what we found. Confirm the details, correct anything wrong, and fill in what the decode could not tell us.
  2. 2Add photos and what you knowEverything you would put in front of a buyer: the gallery, the service history, the flaws you would rather not mention.
  3. 3Review the drafted listingWe write it in the house style of recent listings for cars like yours, using only what you told us. Anything we could not source is listed as a gap for you to fill rather than invented.
  4. 4Work the two stagesThe week, from the first-day rush through the quiet stretch where most sellers go missing, then the endgame where most of the bidding happens. Bidders react to what you actually write.
  5. 5Read your debriefWhat you left unanswered, which answers read as evasive or contradicted your own listing, how much of the thread you carried against what selling sellers carry, and how you handled the difficult comments.

Rehearse it once. Sell it once.

Bring your VIN and about fifteen minutes.
