Summary
From Bring a Trailer
This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette coupe was first delivered to Vincent Chevrolet of Ypsilanti, Michigan, and it was purchased by the seller in 2017. Subsequent work involved refinishing the exterior and rebuilding the 427ci L71 V8, four-speed manual transmission, and Positraction rear end. Equipment includes triple Holley, two-barrel carburetors, 15″ turbine-style wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, side-exit exhaust pipes, power windows, an AM/FM radio, chrome bumpers, and retractable headlights.
More details
This C2 was purchased by the seller in 2017 and is now offered with the owner’s manual, a service manual, an NCRS judging manual, an NCRS Shipping Data Report, service records, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name. The fiberglass body was finished at the factory in Lynndale Blue (977) and was refinished under current ownership. Features include a curved glass rear window, a black-striped stinger hood, retractable headlights, chrome split bumperettes, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and a side-exit exhaust system with heat shields.
Close-up pictures are shown in the gallery. The turbine-style 15″ wheels are mounted with 205/75 Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires. The car features a fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear.
F41-spec shocks are said to be fitted. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs, and the rotors were replaced in 2023 while the master cylinder and proportioning valve were replaced in 2025. The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in Teal Blue vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets.
Amenities include a heater, a vertical push-button AM/FM radio, an analog clock, power windows, and lap belts. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 24k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership.
The 427ci L71 V8 was factory rated at 435 horsepower, and a rebuild was completed in 2026. The three Holley two-barrel carburetors as well as the radiator, heater core, starter, upper pulley, spark plug wires, and water pump were replaced. The engine stamping is shown above.
The four-speed manual transmission and Positraction differential are said to have been rebuilt, and a replacement bellhousing kit was installed in March 2020. The AU stamping on the differential indicates 3. 36:1 gearing and a big block-intended application, while the 12 13 65 date stamping indicates a December 13, 1965, production date.
The underbody has been refinished. Decoding the trim tag reveals: Style 67 437 – 1967 Corvette coupe Body S4262 – St. Louis body number Trim 418 – Teal Blue vinyl upholstery Paint 977 – Lynndale Blue Photos of the car from 1998 are shown in the gallery.
