Honda Ascot

Honda's Ascot series was a direct nod to American flat-track racing, offered in two distinct flavors. The 1982-1983 FT500 used a 497cc single-cylinder engine derived from the popular XL/XR500 dirt bikes, wrapped in street-tracker bodywork. In 1983, Honda introduced the VT500F Ascot, which featured a more advanced 491cc liquid-cooled V-twin and shaft drive. Neither version was a sales hit, making them relatively uncommon today.

The Ascot's unique styling and short production run are the primary drivers of its collectibility. It stands out from the more conventional cruisers and standards of the early 1980s.
