Honda CB360 & CL360

Honda introduced the CB360 and its scrambler variant, the CL360, in 1974 as the successors to the wildly popular 350 twins. The new models boasted a slightly larger 356cc parallel-twin engine and, notably, a 6-speed transmission. The CB360 was the standard road bike, while the CL360 featured high-mounted exhaust pipes and taller handlebars for a rugged look. Despite these updates, the 360 series had a short production run, lasting only until 1976 before being replaced by the CB400T Hawk.

Today, the 360 twins are appreciated for their classic 1970s styling, straightforward mechanics, and approachable performance. They offer an affordable entry into the vintage Honda scene, often overshadowed by their 350 predecessors and the larger 750 Fours. The CL360 scrambler is particularly sought after for its distinctive looks and tends to command a premium over the standard CB. Many have been customized, making clean, original examples increasingly desirable for collectors.

The market for these bikes shows a wide spread, reflecting the difference between tired project bikes and concours-level restorations. The average price hovers around $4,100, indicating that solid, running examples are steadily appreciating. While basket cases can be found for under $1,000, expect to pay between $3,000 and $6,000 for a clean, road-ready bike. Exceptional, low-mileage originals or professional restorations can fetch prices well over $10,000.
