Summary
This genuine "Maharajah Rolls-Royce" (chassis 50XJ) was originally commissioned by the 10th Ruling Chief of Nandgaon State, featuring a bespoke Barker torpedo tourer body with a unique Nile Blue finish and a Tapley gradiometer for Indian roads. Meticulously restored by the late Richard Hooper, this vehicle boasts a rich provenance, including being featured in The Autocar in 1930 and a journey from India to the US. It is offered with considerable pride to a new caretaker who will appreciate its excellent, truly bespoke design and history.
