AMC Pacer

The AMC Pacer was designed from the inside out, resulting in its famous 'fishbowl' greenhouse and a width comparable to a full-size Cadillac. Originally intended to house a GM-built Wankel rotary engine, development issues meant it launched with AMC's familiar inline-6. The car's unique proportions and massive glass area made it one of the most distinctive designs of the 1970s.

Today, the Pacer's appeal lies in its quirky design and significant pop culture status, thanks largely to its role in the 1992 film 'Wayne's World'. The later Pacer Wagon, and cars equipped with the optional V8, often attract more interest and higher prices.
