Cadillac ELR

The Cadillac ELR was a luxury plug-in hybrid coupe based on the Chevrolet Volt's powertrain. Produced for just two model years, 2014 and 2016, the ELR translated the stunning 2009 Converj concept car directly to the showroom with minimal changes. Its dramatic styling and high-tech interior couldn't overcome an ambitious starting price of nearly $76,000, leading to a major commercial failure for Cadillac.

Today, the ELR's rarity is its biggest draw for collectors. With a total production of just 2,958 units, it's one of the scarcest modern Cadillacs. Its unique place in GM's history as a boldly styled but unsuccessful luxury PHEV makes it an interesting conversation piece. It represents a design high point for the brand's 'Art & Science' era.
