Chevrolet Corvair Rampside & Loadside

Based on the innovative rear-engine Corvair platform, Chevrolet's Forward Control series included the Rampside and Loadside pickups. These trucks shared the car's air-cooled flat-six engine, mounted under the bed at the rear. The Loadside, produced only in 1961 and 1962, featured a conventional pickup bed, while the Rampside, built until 1964, had a clever side-mounted ramp that made loading heavy items incredibly easy.
