The Dodge C Series, sold from 1954 to 1960, replaced the post-war B Series with modern styling and features. The new design included a wraparound windshield and a more driver-focused "pilot house" cab. A major update arrived in 1957 with the "Power Giant" series, which introduced quad headlights, a new grille, and updated V8 engine options, reflecting Virgil Exner's "Forward Look" design language.

Collectors are drawn to the C Series' distinctive mid-century styling, which stands out from its Ford and GM rivals. Early models offered an optional Red Ram Hemi V8, while the later Power Giant trucks are prized for their aggressive looks and available Power-Dome V8s. The ultra-rare Sweptside, with its finned rear fenders borrowed from the Dodge passenger car line, is the most coveted variant.
