Ducati Hypermotard

The Ducati Hypermotard, designed by Pierre Terblanche, first appeared at the 2005 EICMA show and launched for the 2007 model year. The original 1100 model combined supermoto aggression with Ducati's signature air-cooled L-twin and trellis frame, creating a motorcycle focused purely on excitement.

Collectors are primarily drawn to the first-generation 1100 and the higher-spec 1100 S. The 'S' model is the most desirable, featuring Öhlins suspension, lightweight Marchesini wheels, and carbon fiber parts. These air-cooled models are celebrated for their raw character compared to the later, more refined liquid-cooled 821, 939, and 950 generations.

The market for the Hypermotard is relatively affordable, with an average transaction price around $7,700. While pristine, low-mileage 1100 S and later SP models can approach $16,000, many well-maintained bikes are available for significantly less. This makes the Hypermotard an excellent value for an iconic piece of modern Ducati design.

Prices range from $2,000 for older, higher-mileage examples to $16,000 for pristine, low-mile S and SP variants.
