The second-generation Ford Fusion, launched for the 2013 model year, was a dramatic step forward for Ford's midsize sedan. Its sleek styling, often compared to Aston Martin, set it apart in a conservative segment. Sharing its CD4 platform with the European Mondeo, the Fusion offered a wide array of powertrains, including EcoBoost four-cylinders, a hybrid, and a plug-in Energi model, appealing to a broad audience.

A 2017 refresh brought revised styling and updated technology, but the most significant addition was the Fusion Sport. This model packed a 2.7L twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 with 325 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque, paired with a standard all-wheel-drive system. The Sport is the only version with any real enthusiast following, offering genuine sleeper performance in a family sedan package.

Today, the Fusion market is almost entirely composed of used daily drivers, with an average sale price around $5,000. Prices are dictated by condition, mileage, and trim level. While the V6 Sport commands a premium over standard models, it remains an affordable performance bargain rather than a true collector's item. The vast majority of Fusions are simply practical transportation, and the market reflects that.
