Ford Taurus 6th Gen

The sixth-generation Ford Taurus, launched for the 2010 model year, marked the nameplate's final run as a full-size sedan. Built on the D3 platform shared with the Lincoln MKS, it was larger and more upscale than its predecessor. The big news for enthusiasts was the return of the SHO model, which dropped the V8 of the previous generation for a potent 3.5L EcoBoost twin-turbo V6. With 365 horsepower and standard all-wheel drive, the SHO was a true sleeper sedan.

Today, the SHO is the only sixth-gen Taurus with any real collector interest. It offers a surprising amount of performance and comfort for a very low cost of entry. The non-turbo models, like the SE, SEL, and Limited, are simply depreciated used cars with little to no enthusiast following. The market reflects this, with an average sale price under $7,000. Low-mileage, late-model SHO examples command the highest prices, but the model hasn't yet transitioned from used car to collectible.

Prices range from a few thousand dollars for high-mileage base models to as high as $19,950 for well-kept, low-mileage SHO variants.
