GMC Suburban 7th Gen

The 7th generation GMC Suburban, produced from 1973 to 1991, is the longest-running generation of any Suburban. Nicknamed the "Square Body," it was the first to offer a conventional 4-door body style, which massively increased its practicality and appeal as a family vehicle. Available in 2WD (C-series) and 4WD (K-series) with half-ton (10) and three-quarter-ton (20) ratings, these trucks offered a wide range of V8 engines and trim levels like the Sierra and High Sierra.

Collectors are drawn to the Square Body Suburban for its classic, rugged styling and simple, durable mechanicals. Parts availability is excellent due to platform sharing with the C/K pickups, making them relatively easy and affordable to maintain or modify.
