The Isuzu VehiCROSS was a rare instance of a concept car making it to production with few changes. Built on a modified Trooper chassis, it featured a radical, futuristic body with unpainted plastic cladding, a sealed spare tire compartment, and a 3.5L V6 engine paired with a sophisticated Torque-On-Demand 4-wheel-drive system. It was sold in the US for only 3 model years, from 1999 to 2001, with just 4,153 units imported.
