Jaguar XJ220

The Jaguar XJ220 began as a V12, all-wheel-drive concept car in 1988, but production reality brought significant changes. To meet regulations and development goals, the final car featured a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 derived from the Metro 6R4 Group B rally car, sending 542 hp to the rear wheels. Despite buyer disappointment over the engine change, the XJ220's performance was undeniable, holding the production car speed record at 217.1 mph until the McLaren F1 arrived.

With just 275 cars produced between 1992 and 1994, the XJ220's rarity has always been a key part of its appeal.
