The Renault Clio, launched in 1990 as the successor to the iconic Renault 5, quickly established itself as a European favorite, winning Car of the Year in 1991. The most collectible Clio is unquestionably the Williams. The market for the first-generation Clio is split. The average sale price of around $19,000 is heavily skewed by pristine Clio Williams examples, which can fetch nearly $40,000. In contrast, standard, lower-specification Clios remain very affordable, often available for under $5,000. This makes the performance variants an appreciating modern classic, while base models are an accessible entry point to 90s nostalgia.
