Acura launched in 1986, becoming the first Japanese luxury automaker to enter the North American market. It established a reputation for precision engineering and reliability with early hits like the Legend sedan and the sporty Integra. These cars offered a compelling alternative to their European counterparts, combining performance with Honda's proven dependability.

Collector interest centers on Acura's most ambitious models from the 1990s and early 2000s. The original NSX, developed with input from Ayrton Senna, brought supercar performance and exotic looks without the typical maintenance headaches. Just as significant, the Integra Type R set a new standard for front-wheel drive performance with its high-revving B18C5 engine and lightweight, track-focused chassis.

The Acura market is diverse, reflecting a wide range of models and conditions. While well-kept Integras and Legends remain affordable classics, pristine, low-mileage examples of the Integra Type R and first-gen NSX now command six-figure prices. At the top end, modern collectibles like the second-generation NSX, especially the limited-run Type S, push values toward the half-million dollar mark.
