Acura Integra

The Acura Integra debuted in 1986 as a cornerstone of Honda's new luxury brand, immediately earning a reputation for its sharp handling and high-revving engines. Spanning four generations until 2001, and recently revived, the Integra defined the sport compact segment for many enthusiasts. The third generation, particularly the lightweight, track-focused Type R, cemented the car's legendary status with its hand-ported B18C5 VTEC engine and sublime chassis dynamics.

Collector interest is overwhelmingly focused on the 1994-2001 models. The DC2 Integra Type R is the halo car, with exceptional examples fetching six-figure prices due to their rarity and motorsport pedigree. The GS-R model, with its B18C1 VTEC engine, offers a large portion of the Type R's experience for a much lower price, making it a popular target. These cars represent a high point for analog, front-wheel-drive performance that is difficult to find in modern vehicles.

The market for Integras is incredibly diverse, as shown by the wide price spread. While top-tier Type R models command prices similar to exotic cars, base models and high-mileage examples remain very affordable project cars. The high average sale price of over $20,000 is heavily skewed by Type R sales, but it indicates a strong and rising tide of interest for all clean, well-maintained Integras from the 1990s.
