Audi S2

The Audi S2 arrived in 1991 as the spiritual successor to the legendary Ur-Quattro. Based on the B4-generation Audi 80, it paired a new 2.2-liter 20-valve turbocharged inline-5 engine with the brand's signature quattro all-wheel drive system. Early cars used the 3B engine with 220 PS and a 5-speed manual, while later models from 1993 received the ABY engine with 230 PS and a 6-speed gearbox. Available as a Coupe, Avant, and a very limited Sedan, the S2 set the template for all future Audi S models.

Collectors are drawn to the S2 for its direct connection to Audi's rallying history and its iconic 5-cylinder engine. The car's status as a 'forbidden fruit' in North America adds to its appeal, as they were never officially sold there.
