How to Choose

  • Among R8s, V10 cars sell for more than V8s, and first-generation cars with the gated manual bring a premium.
  • Among the fast Avants, the C8 RS6 averages $120K and the B5 RS4, never sold new in the US, $60K.
  • Audi's most valuable cars of all are its Group B rally quattros: an S1 E2 sold for $2.4 million at RM Sotheby's in November 2022. They aren't road cars and aren't ranked here.
