Bentley Azure

The Bentley Azure debuted in 1995 as a grand, 4-seat convertible based on the Continental R platform. Bentley outsourced the convertible conversion to Pininfarina in Italy, who reinforced the chassis, fitted the body panels, and installed the complex, fully-automated fabric roof. Power came from the company's long-serving 6.75-liter V8, turbocharged to provide effortless performance befitting the car's 3-ton weight.

Collectors are drawn to the Azure's blend of hand-built British luxury and Italian design. First-generation cars (1995-2003) are particularly notable for their connection to Pininfarina and represent one of the last models from the pre-Volkswagen era. The second-generation Azure (2006-2009), developed under VW, offered more power and updated technology, with the twin-turbo Azure T being the most sought-after model.

The market for the Azure is wide, reflecting the differences between the two generations and individual car conditions. The average sale price sits around $72,000, but early, higher-mileage cars can be found for much less, representing a significant value. Low-mileage, second-generation Azure T models sit at the top of the market, often selling for well over $150,000.
