The third-generation Ford Focus, sold from 2012 to 2018 in North America, was a cornerstone of the company's 'One Ford' global strategy. It featured a sophisticated multi-link rear suspension, a higher-quality interior, and a standard 2.0L GDI engine. While base models served as competent and efficient commuters, they aren't the focus of collector interest.

Enthusiast demand centers entirely on the high-performance ST and RS models. The Focus ST arrived in 2013 with a 252 hp 2.0L EcoBoost engine and a 6-speed manual, quickly earning praise as a premier hot hatch. Ford took it a step further in 2016 with the limited-production Focus RS. The RS featured a unique 350 hp 2.3L EcoBoost engine, a sophisticated torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system with a 'Drift Mode,' and aggressive styling, cementing its place as a future classic.

The market for these cars is sharply divided. Standard Focus sedans and hatchbacks are inexpensive used cars, with an average sale price below $7,000. The ST represents an affordable entry point for modern performance, while the RS holds its value exceptionally well. Low-mileage RS examples can sell for prices close to or even exceeding their original sticker price, reflecting their strong desirability and limited numbers.

Prices range from as low as $290 for project cars to $30,000 for top-spec Focus RS examples.
