The GT3 is the naturally aspirated, rear-drive track weapon. The GT3 RS takes that formula and strips it further: more aero, stiffer suspension, lighter weight, and a higher price tag. Across all four generations (996, 997, 991, 992), the RS commands a 30-60% premium over the standard GT3. The GT3 is the better street car and daily driver. The RS is the better track tool and stronger appreciator. Both use the Mezger engine through the 997, and the 991+ moved to the 9A1 direct-injection flat-six.
