It used the 1.6L flat-4 engine from the 356SC, producing 90 horsepower, housed in the new 901/911 bodyshell. This combination resulted in a car that was lighter and better balanced than the contemporary 911, offering a distinct and nimble driving experience that many enthusiasts still prefer.
